About Us

I am Oswald and my wife is Cynthia. We live in a suburb of Melbourne, Australia. I am a chronic snorer, and also suffer from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).  I never realized how serious the problem was until my wife began complaining quite often about it. It seemed to be getting worse as I grew older.

I checked myself into a sleep centre where I wa

s diagnosed with a serious snoring problem and sleep apnea. Doctors recommended I use a CPAP machine at night. I did try a CPAP machine for a short while. I am claustrophobic and found the CPAP very inconvenient, intrusive and problematic.I personally just could not get used to the idea. The thought of not only trying to adapt but also the total dependence on the CPAP machine was something I could not accept. That was not for me. Neither were the sleeping pills the doctor prescribed. We invested quite a bit of money into anti-snoring pillows, and gadgets that did not help.

My wife was forced to use earplugs, but she could still hear my snoring - that is how bad it was. Finally, we both decided we had to do something.

We spent time learning and understanding the process of snoring and sleep apnea. There was much to learn, the structure and positioning of the tongue, uvula, and pharyngeal wall, loss of muscle tone, the different sleep positions, the advantages and disadvantages of each of the sleep positions, supine, lateral and prone positions. Advantages of inclined sleeping over normal (horizontal) sleeping. How some of the devices and gadgets work or why they don’t work.

We took a holistic approach to sleep, because sleep is a function of the whole body. There was nothing on the market that offered support and comfort for the rest of the body. My wife and I are believers in taking a holistic approach to any medical condition and feel it is important to treat the entire body, not just one or two areas. With that in mind, we designed the U-SleepWell, therapeutic pillow that works best as INCLINED, LATERAL SLEEP SYSTEM. It took us two years of research as well as working with different materials and designs before we came up with the best solution. Finally, I was able to sleep comfortably, wake up rested and best of all, minimized my snoring SUBSTANTIALLY!

From our experience in using this sleep system we learned very important factors to consider. If we are to get the best use from this sleep system then we must do the following:

  1. It is very important to treat and control sinus problems, swollen turbinates, adenoids, polyps, sinuses, deviated septum, and stuffy nose as all these contribute to snoring. This will make sleep much more comfortable.

Finally, we were so happy with the results that we did not want to keep our invention to ourselves.

Our main objective is to help as many people as we can with this product so that they, too, can get a good night’s sleep. I believe that we have a product that will reduce the problems associated snoring. Snoring can lead to a more serious condition known as sleep apnoea. If you snore incessantly and do not feel rested after a full night of sleep, chances are that you may have this common condition, too. If so, you might want to try the Lateral Sleep System and get the same help as I did in reducing snoring and getting a better night’s rest.

If you suffer from a serious snoring problem, no one knows better than me what you are going through. We are here to tell you that there is help for your condition. If it helped me, it can help you, too.
